UPDATES and REMINDERS: Kern County Raceway

MAVTV:  This race will be nationally televised by MAVTV.

RACE DISTANCE:  Two 40 lap Segements: Best combined overall finish from the two segments will be the event winner.  Teams will have 15 minutes to make adjustments and fuel the cars after segment #1.

BACKGATE FEES:

NO CREW CHIEF MEETING:  To streamline Friday’s schedule, there will be no scheduled Crew Chief Meeting on Friday, teams will receive the Crew Chief hand out by email this week.  If you have any questions regarding the handout, please contact Ricky Brooks directly at 850-324-6821.

FRIDAY TECH: All cars are required to roll through the scales on Friday at a designated pre-assigned time for each team.

SATURDAY PRE-QUALIFYING TECH: The series rule is, once Pre-Qualifying Tech Opens (which is at 4:15pm at Kern),all cars are to be on the ground and ready to roll to tech.  A series official will direct your team to the tech line. If you have a mechanical issue, let an official know as soon as you can.

TIRES: Teams will be allowed to have their race tires on Friday, but they must be returned to Hoosier truck by 9:00pm.

WHEEL NUMBERS:  Your race wheels need a car number and a ‘L’ or ‘R’ decal on all wheels to help Hoosier better serve your team.

FUEL: SUNOCO 110 will be available at Kern.

PARKING:  Unhook – please let us know if you need to unhook your truck from your trailer on Friday. Also, please let us know prior to race weekend if you have special parking needs. 

IMPOUND:All cars will be impounded after qualifying; only 2 people may check pressures, stagger (no jacks) – We will fuel check the top 3 qualifiers, crew members need to be there with tools ready for a fuel check.

SPOTTER’S RADIOS: Each spotter must have a scanner, or a separate radio that will scan the SRL Race Control frequency at 460.0125. No longer may you use a radio that scans Race Control secondary, as it interferes with communication to the spotter, which then leads to directions not being heard.  If you need radio service and/or products, please contact Frank’s Radio at 800-869-9712.

LEFT SIDE WEIGHT:Maximum Left Side Weight % must be correct at all times, both pre-race and post-race inspection (without refueling).

TAPE:NO TAPE ALLOWED ON CAR – OTHER THAN FOR APPROVED REPAIRS.

GOLF CARTS:No golf carts, quads, scooters, etc. allowed in the SPEARS Modified Series pit area on race weekends.
