Redwood Acres Raceway – Updates and Reminders

PARKING – Every team will have a pre-assigned parking spot for the weekend. If you have a special request or you need to unhook from your trailer during the race weekend, please let us know.

EARLY ARRIVAL – If your team is arriving early, please let us know and we will coordinate a place to park your rig at the fairgrounds.

BIG RIG ROUTE – The recommended route to Eureka for Big Rigs is Highway 299 out of Redding all the way to the 101. Highway 101 north of Eureka has some retricitions in Richardson Grove.

RACE PROCEDURES – Here is the link for the SRL Race Procedures for the SPEARS Southwest Tour Series and Spears Manufacturing Modified Series.

Here are some specifics procedures for the weekend:
1. Super Late Model:
  1. Break at or around lap 75 (Race distance is 127 laps) – At the break, teams will have 8 minutes to make adjustments & fuel the car. Car may only be jacked up one side at a time (jack stand mandatory if anyone goes under the car), and team must have a manned fire extinguisher while fueling the car. Maximum 5 crew members to service the car.
  2. A Competition Yellow will occure if we have ran 40 consecutive Green Flag Laps, but not within the final 15 laps of the race

Modifieds:
1. Race Distance is 75 laps – A Competition Yellow will occure if we have ran 40 consecutive Green Flag Laps, but not within the final 15 laps of the race.

FRIDAY TECH PRE-ASSIGNED TIME – All cars will undergo tech inspection by assigned appointments on Friday maximum four crew members plus the driver with the car in tech inspection.
FUEL – The spec fuel of the SRL is SUNOCO, Redwood Acres will only have VP110 on site for sale on race weekend. Must be pure SUNOCO 110 or pure VP110 on the weekend.
SRL RADIO FREQUENCY – All SRL race divisions must scan 2000. Bring your radio to Tech on Friday to verify it can scan the SRL frequency.
1. SPOTTERS – Spotters must be utilized at all times your car is on track. The spotter must monitor race control with a scanner or stand-alone radio at 2000.

TIRES – SPEARS Southwest Tour Series will utilize the American Racer AR153, your four race tires must be purchased on race weekend and inpounded until designated release time on Race Day. The Spears Manufacturing Modified Series will use the American Racer 970 for the event. On event weekend, Furia Motorsports will sell the Modified Tires, and American Racer Southwest will sell the Super Late Model tires. SRL TAPE RULE – The ‘Tape Rule’ will not be in effect for the Redwood Acres event.

CHAMPIONSHIP POINTS SLM – The SPEARS Southwest Tour Series teams will be awarded championship points based on where you finish in relation to other SPEARS Southwest Tour Series Series teams. The local teams running under the Redwood Acres Rule Package will not factor into how the points are awarded.

CHAMPIONSHIP POINTS MODS – The Spears Manufacturing Modified Series teams will be awarded championship points based on where you finish in relation to other Spears Manufacturing Modified Series teams. The local teams running under the Midstate Rule Package will not factor into how the points are awarded.

TESTING – Due to the long distance to get to Redwood Acres Raceway for most teams, there will no private SPEARS Southwest Tour Series testing allowed prior to the event.
