  1. RADIO FREQUENCY CORRECTION: Spotter must monitor SRL Race Control with a scanner or stand-alone radio at 461.2000. You will be required to have your radio checked during Friday’s Tech Inspection to be sure you are able to scan SRL Race Control at 461.2000.  Please note the radio frequency listed on last week’s ‘Updates’ was incorrect.  461.2000 is the frequency the SRL has used since the first race.

 

  1. FRANK’S RADIO SERVICE: Frank’s Radio Service 800-869-9712 will be at CNS to take care of any of your radio needs. 

 

  1. PARKING/PIT STALLS: There will be assigned Pit Stalls for all teams competing with the SRL. Please let us know if you have any special parking request – no later than Monday. If you are a local team that rents a space from CNS, please let us know the space that you rent, and we will try to assign you to that spot.  Please let us know if your rig is over 65 feet.   1. DUPLICATE CAR NUMBERS: Cars running the same number is allowed, but each car will be required to display a minimum four-inch first letter of the driver’s last name low and behind the car number on each side. This will be required before you pass tech inspection. We will post a list of entries to show duplicate numbers. Current Duplicate Numbers Pre-entered: 11, 22, 24, 51, 66

 

  1. TIRES: The Hoosier 970 will be used at CNS. The track will have the 970’s available for sale at the event, you are allowed to bring in your own 970’s to practice and race on. There will be a time set for tire selection, and an order to select based on entries received.

 

Local Teams – Please try to have your tires purchased and mounted before Friday, it will alleviate the rush on tire sales on Friday.

 

 

  1. PRE-TECH – All cars will undergo inspection by assigned appointments on Friday, maximum four crew members plus the driver with the car in tech inspection. Inspection order will be based on points.  This is a convenience for the teams, be on time, or the system doesn’t work, and a penalty may be issued.

 

  1. TAPE RULE: No TAPE is allowed on the car during practice, qualifying, or the race. Unless required due to crash damage.

 

  1. QUALIFYING TECH – ON THE GROUND: Once pre-qualifying tech opens at 2pm on Saturday, all cars are to be on the ground ready to roll to tech at 2pm – hood on, no wiping down, cars on the ground – ready to roll at The penalty will be the slowest of your two qualifying laps if your car is not on the ground at the opening of tech on Saturday.  An official will come to your pit to direct you into the tech line.  You have been warned – it’s in your hands, the rules and policies of this series are for everyone to follow.

 

  1. IMPOUND: Cars will be impounded after qualifying. Air adjustments only.

 

  1. REQUIRED DECALS: To be eligible for any and all cash awards at the event, all contingency decals are required to be in place in proper locations, the Spears Manufacturing windshield/roof decal must also be in place. Decals will be available at the SRL trailer on race weekend.

 

 

 

  1. NATIONALLY TELEVISED: The race will be livestreamed on SPEARSRacing.TV, live, and will be nationally televised at a later date on MAVTV. Team uniforms are not mandatory, but let’s do our best to represent our team and series in a professional manner.

 

  1. PIT FEES:

Friday: $100 practice fee per car, plus $10 Pit Pass per person. 

Saturday: $25 NASCAR Member/$35 non-NASCAR Member Pit Pass.

You can purchase Saturday Pit Passes on Friday.

 

  1. PIT GATES:  Unless you have been directed to do, no team is allowed in the pit area before gates open or unload prior to an SRL Official giving the ok to do so. Thank you.

 

  1. NO GOLF CARTS, SCOOTER, QUADS: No golf carts, quads, bicycles, or any type of motorized scooter, etc. allowed on the raceway grounds. THE INJURED OR HANDICAPPED MAY BE ALLOWED SINGLE PERSON SCOOTERS – MUST GET APPROVAL FROM THE SRL.

 

  1. FUEL: SUNOCO 110 is the spec fuel for the SPEARS Modified Series, available at the track.

 

  1. SATURDAY OVERNIGHT PARKING: If you choose to do so, you may leave your rig in the CNS pit area overnight on Saturday and pick it up Sunday morning after 6am.
